Worst California burrito Ive had my life it was a tiny bit of meat and cheese and like a pound of cold, old French fries. They definitely need a new chef and to step up their game. More

I grew up in Chula Vista and can’t believe it took me this long to eat here! There are a handful of tables for dining in, so it wouldn’t be the best for a larger group. All the breakfast entrees we tried were delicious, and all three of their salsas were flavorful and balanced. Service was friendly and attentive— will def be back!

The cashier was really attentive she took my order gave me chips with salsa. She took my food to my table as well. The chips were stale the salsa was good. The potatoe tacos I ordered were really good. I order two and it was enough for me.

I've been coming here for 20+ years and always had a good experience. But the last two times I've ordered from there it's been terrible. The first time food was missing from my family's order. The food was not good tasting either which was embarrassing because I had told my family who haven't tried it before that they had good food. Had to call in to get it fixed and had to pick it up. The second time I ordered carne asada chips with no pico and sour cream on the side. To my surprise the order was bare and had more chips than asada, there was no guacamole despite the receipt showing what I asked for. I called to find out if it came with guacamole, they said it did. I told them my order was incorrect that there was none. She spoke with the cook and they said it's "under the meat". Again I told them there was no guacamole and there was more chips than anything. So they offered to remake my order, fine, I get there show them that I wasn't lying about it. They just said "oh ok" , not a sorry for making you come back again or sorry for charging $12 for less than a cup full of asada and cheese and a whole bag of tortilla chips. Gave me my order and I left. Now I'm not looking to get something for free but I didn't even get an apology. Which bothers me because if you make a mistake at least apologize for the inconvenience or at least try not to make the customer sound stupid especially when the restaurant got the order wrong in the first place. It's a hit and miss, the quality has definitely gone down while the prices have gone up for hardly what your paying for. I won't be returning back, I know it won't matter to them, but they lost a long time customer.

Don Pedro's Taco Shop is all that a taco shop should be. Right in the heart of Chula Vista Down town. The menu selection is great, the food is tasty and the portions are great. Double tortilla tacos are a plus in my book and the flavor of the carne azada is delicious. It takes a good marinade and cooking to get a tasty carne azada taco. I asked for the guacamole on the side from mi taco to enjoy with the complementary chips you get while dinning in. The salsas are fiery and tasty. I was pleasantly surprise to receive two Chiles "toreados" with my two tacos. While I was there several patrons came to order Caldo de Res of Beef soup they comment on the good flavor of the soup, I will order that next time. It is served with a side of rice onions cilantro and hot tortillas. The Service from Noemi was friendly and prompt. Asking the right questions and delivering the food to my table. Overall a great value for your money.

Dry carne asada.. California burrito was just carne asada, cheese and stale French fries and the tortilla was crusty/falling apart, it was old.. no sour cream, or salsa.. saddest California burrito ever.. I converted the burrito to carne asada fries lmao More

I ordered the Carne asada fries (my go to) and they're the same taste every time! Fries, guacamole, cheese, sour cream. I ask for salsa Verde, it's my favorite from this place.
For those that complain about the asada fries, go back and ask IN THE MOMENT for the staff to remake it! Don't be a baby on here 🙄
As for customer service, there's one lady who seems to be in a bad attitude majority of the time. Doesn't really seem she wants to be there but that's not my problem! I'm here for the food, not the workers lol.

I ordered 1 azada taco, 1 carnitas ans 1 al pastor. Not one was any good. I didn't try any other of their dishes, but the taco meat was cold and the carnitas was not flavorful, because they drown it in guacamole and veggies. The folks that work there were very nice, though.
